Intended Audience: Newly-hired staff working in one of the Ministry-funded Specialized Eating Disorders Programs in Ontario or existing staff who want a refresher on their orientation.
Event Description:
On a bi-weekly basis, Eating Disorders Ontario hosts an orientation session for anyone recently hired within a Specialized Eating Disorders Program in Ontario, or those wanting a refresher course on what EDO offers in terms of training and mentoring support.
In the first half of each session (1:00-1:45pm) EDO will present a brief history of ED care in Ontario, information about the mandate and mission of EDO, and current EDO offerings. The second half of the session consists of an open Q&A and group discussion including suggestions for learning opportunities. There is opportunity for peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
Participants are welcome to attend one single session only or return for multiple sessions. If you plan to attend the open Q&A / group discussion part of the session, feel free to join at 1:45 pm.
